Membership, application information, and practical guidance for current and prospective PARS members.

Membership in PARS

PARS membership is intended for qualified professionals whose work includes parenting assessments in British Columbia. Membership offers connection with a community of practitioners, access to Society activities, and inclusion in the external member directory, subject to current membership requirements.

Applications are currently accepted by invitation only. Please contact PARS before preparing an application or sending supporting material.

Before you apply

Review the current eligibility requirements, required documentation, fees, and application timeline before beginning. Submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance.

Prospective applicants should confirm that they hold any professional registration required for their work, practise within their competence, and can meet the Society’s current membership expectations.

Application process

1. Confirm eligibility and the current intake status.

2. Contact PARS for current application instructions.

3. Submit only the materials requested, using the method provided by PARS.

4. Respond to any request for clarification or additional information.

5. If approved, complete membership administration and set up or update your CommunityBox profile.

Protecting confidential information

Do not send identifiable assessment reports, court records, health information, children’s names, court file numbers, or other confidential case material through the general contact form or ordinary email.

Any work sample or supporting material requested during the application process must be appropriately de-identified and submitted only through the secure method specified by PARS.

Current members

Current members can use CommunityBox to maintain their public directory information. Questions about renewal, membership status, Society activities, or profile access should be directed to the membership contact.
