Here is the process for joining PARS
-
Go to our "Application" page and fill out the form as well as upload the required documents.
-
Along with your application, we ask that you submit a De-identified work sample. This should be a work sample at the highest complexity level that you plan on completing as a member. For example, Section 211 reports are often considered the most comprehensive reports an assessor can complete in British Columbia, followed by parental capacity assessments, the Views of the Child Reports.
-
As part of the process to join PARS, each applicant must have an interview with members of the board of directors to answer any follow up questions stemming from your application, CV, or work sample.
-
The annual fee for PARS is $250. This secures a spot on the roster directory, access to future trainings, and all other services provided by the society such as consensual dispute resolution.
Standards for Entry
We base our standards to enter on the Association of Family and Conciliatory Courts (AFCC) guidelines for parenting plan assessors. The guideline can be found here.
